WLKWOS pieces are made by hand using old techniques such as sand casting and lost wax casting.
Each piece is created intuitively, without exact measuring, following form by feeling rather than precision. Wax is sculpted, melted, and built into organic forms, then transformed through lost wax casting into solid metal pieces.
Sand casting is unpredictable. It can be guided, but never fully controlled. Sometimes a cast comes out strange, uneven, or better than expected. These marks, textures, and irregularities are part of the process.
It is all part of the ritual; an alchemy.
My work is rooted in folk tradition, paganism, duality, and chaos. I’m drawn to ritual, symbolism, raw form, and contrast. I’m inspired by things found in nature and the earth, and by textures and forms that feel ancient, worn, and made by hand.
